'The tourists visit Persepolis and tomb of Cyrus, and will then head for the province’s capital city of Shiraz to tour its historical and cultural places,' said the Director General of Fars provincial railways Gholamhossein Valadi.
The train carries 19 tourists from Argentina, UK, US, Russia, and Australia, he added.
Valadi added that the Golden Eagle train departs Shiraz for Esfahan on Saturday evening and is planned to visit Kerman, Yazd, and Mashhad.
The Silk Road journey is the second international tourist train to visit Fars province since September 23.
The Heart of Persia tourist train, carrying 66 tourists and crew, visited the province on October 14.
